“Damn Milo get off me, you’re heavy.”

“Oh c’mon I’m not that heavy.” he laughed leaning more into me.

“Nikki please get him off me.”

“Hey that’s all you boo.” The past couple weeks Milo and Nikki has become my family. The family I never had after the incident. I was smiling a lot more. I was ready to go, six weeks in here was enough and this cast is not fun, at least I get the boot today.

“Ray?” Milo looked at me worried. I sighed he always worry so much even when I’m in the hospital.

“Yeah?”

“You okay.” he asked stroking my cheek.

“Yeah just thinking.” I didn’t want to tell him I was fending again, that morphine was helping my craving but now that I’m off I can nearly taste it in my mouth and my nose burn. I was itching just like the true crack head I am. This is just fantasy and crack is my reality. I looked at Milo and I could feel like he was reading my mind.

“Its going to be okay, once you out we going to get help.”

“That’s right so don’t worry.” I just looked down at me legs, I couldn’t look them in the eye, I know I’m going to disappoint them. I always do. Then once again I’m going to be alone. I felt his finger under my chin and lift my head to meet his gaze.

“Its WILL be okay, we is here for you so don’t you worry about a thing, ya hear?” he wiped the tears that was falling. He kissed the last one that left my eye. I couldn’t help but smile.

“Aww.” Nikki cooed.

“Girl please.”

“Milo I’m swoop a man like you. Aye matter of fact Dr. Sanders upstairs is single right or divorced?”

We laughed. She looked at us like she was not playing.

“I’m so serious. That’s one sexy mofo.” We all laughed with her.

“Where’s her chart?” Nikki passed it to him and when he looked over it, he smiled and looked up at me.

“You can go home, there no need for you to stay. Vitals great, bones healing, just put the boot on and you squared away.”

“That’s great.”

“Yeah Ima go talk to Dr. May right now.” Milo got up from his seat and kissed me.

“Be right back.” He left out the room and my heart just fluttered.

“Yall are just too cute.”

“He is so sweet and caring.”

“He really loves I can see it.”

“I guess.”

“Girl you know yall some love birds, admit it, you love him too.” I just smiled.

“I’m guessing that’s a yes by the huge Kool-Aid smile on your face.” she laughed.

“Shut up and.”

“And I want to be the maid of honor at the wedding too.”

“Wow you making a huge jump.” I put my head down.

‘Whats the matter Rayne?”

“Once he realized that my drug habit isn’t a habit it’s a HUGE problem, he gonna leave.”

“Omg Rayne haven’t he proved he aint going anywhere, look he’s been here for almost 2 years with you, going through hell…and yes he told me everything. This man loves you which I thought was quick but I guess your heart knows what it wants when it wants it.” she gave me a reassuring smile. I was about to say something when Milo came back in with my doctor.

“I heard you ready to get up out of here.”

“Yes very much so.”

“Okay I can get the discharge paper drawn up and you’ll be free to go.”

“Yaaay.” I cheered. She left with Nikki following behind.

“I’m so ready to get you home.”

“Home?”

“Yes home, with me. Rayne I’m never letting you out of my sight or life again.” he said coming over to me and wrapping me up.

“I don’t think that’s a good idea.” He pulled back looking me in my eyes.

“What you mean?’ I could see the panic in his eyes.

“I thinks its best I go to rehab.” I finally admitted.

“Is that what you really want?”

“Yea I think its best.” he just nodded and smiled.

“I’m proud of you.”

“For?”

‘Making your decision.”

“Well I’m proud of me too. I just don’t want to disappoint you anymore.”

“You can never disappoint me.” he smiled and his lips connected with mine.

“I love this.”

‘”Really there more where that came from.” He got in between my legs and started kissing me so passionate.

“Oh god you two.” we looked over to see Nikki with papers.

“Whaaat?” I said innocently.

“Just sign these and you freaks can go home.” she laughed. I quickly signed the papers and I was out of this place.

MILO:

“Are you ready for this?”

“More ready than I’ll ever be.”

“Lets go.” We got out the car and I helped her up to the rehab center. The building was nice and cozy on the inside.

“Welcome to LA Becton Rehab Facility.”

“Yes Dr. Carter checking in with Rayne Smith.” She went typing away.

“Oh yes here we are. Welcome and I’ll show you to your room Dr and Ms. Smith, Dr. Drew will be with you in a minute.” I looked at Rayne and she looked terrified and she was sweaty. I could see the pain in her eyes and I was determined to take that away.

“We got this.” I leaned into her ear.

“I know.” she kind of smiled. I kissed her neck to relax her.

“Meet in the back at the fountain when you finish.”

‘Okay.”

“Rayne?”

“Yeah?” she finally looked at me.

The words flowed perfectly out my mouth. “I love you.” I smiled.

Her eyes glistened and she smiled too. “I love you too.”

I pecked her lips and we went our separate way.
